Stepping out of the City: A Winter Edit

Stepping out of the city and into the colder months, our Winter Edit finds us in Somerset, a novel adventure with fast friends. Inspired by the rolling hills of the Southwest, the weathered wood of a welcoming farmhouse table, and the splashes of colour found on a plate of fresh produce, our palette draws from the generosity of nature. Our cuts, too, are ample, welcoming layering, with fluid tailoring, relaxed knitwear, and flowing overcoats at the heart of the collection. Rich textures are in abundance, guided by a gentle way of life accented with the practical. Creamy cashmere and merino greet the sturdier yarns of lambswool and tweed, the contrast between soft and steadfast reminiscent of a fresh loaf of bread anointed with warm butter.

The places we've been and the people we've met have shaped this collection; from city to country, chefs to craftspeople, the stories they tell and the objects they create. The buildings homed within the landscape, too, offer inspiration: an old coach inn, set on the road to London, has hosted travellers from the sixteenth century, giving them shelter on their journey from country to city, and home again. Today, it continues that legacy, a beacon of warmth and hospitality, and a hub of creativity and craftmanship. The paths between city and country reflect the stories of our clothes and our friends who wear them, from the rugged tweeds of the Hebrides to the delicate flecks of a Donegal yarn.

Winter can feel like a chapter closing. Instead, we see it as a time for rest and renewal, reminiscing with old friends in new places, travelling different paths, stitching together stories and weaving the fabric of friendship.
