BIRL Reselling Platform | Extend Your Clothing's Life | SIRPLUS

Old Friends, New Adventures

We all have those special pieces in our wardrobe — the lucky shirt that's worked its magic in job interviews and dates alike, the coat that became your second skin after countless winters of wear. They're not just clothes, they're old friends. But sometimes old friends want to part ways, ready for new adventures. You wish them well, but you don't fit each other quite how you used to.

That's where our partnership with Birl comes in. Your pre-loved SIRPLUS pieces can now find new homes, and you'll get credit towards your next purchase with us.

Through Birl's platform, your former favourites won't be forgotten at the back of a wardrobe. They'll find their way to someone who will love them as much as you once did. Together, we're extending the journey of our carefully crafted pieces — letting your old friends make new ones.

Our partnership with Birl reflects what SIRPLUS has always been about: thoughtful consumption, quality that lasts, and the understanding that the story of good design deserves multiple chapters.

Ready to refresh your wardrobe and give your SIRPLUS pieces a new lease of life? Trade in now and let the story continue.

FAQs

Credit

Does the condition of my item affect how much credit I receive?

Yes, the condition of your item will determine how much credit you receive. You can report the condition of your item when you select it in the portal.

Do I receive my credit straight away?

Yes, you will receive a code with your credit straight away. It will appear in your portal and is also emailed to you. Enter this at the checkout to redeem!

Can I trade in multiple items at the same time?

No, you are currently only able to trade-in one item at a time. You can submit as many trade-ins as you like, but each needs to be submitted separately, and will generate its own credit voucher.

Can I use multiple credit vouchers for the same purchase?

No, you can only use one credit voucher for each purchase. You cannot combine credit vouchers.

When does my credit expire?

Your credit voucher is valid for one year.

Postage

Do I have to pay to send my trade-in back?

No, shipping is totally free using the labels that we provide. You can select whether to send your item with Royal Mail, InPost or Yodel.

How do I get my postage label?

Your postage label will arrive in your email inbox after you have received your credit. Please check your junk mail if it doesn't arrive. If you still haven't received your label, please contact support at hello@wearebirl.com.

How long do I have to send my trade-in back?

You have 7 working days to send back your trade-in. If you choose not to send your trade-in then we reserve the right to charge your payment method for the credit that you have received.

Can I trade in my items from outside the UK?

Currently, Birl trade-in is only available to UK customers.

Recycling

What is One Step Further and how does it work?

One Step Further allows you to send back additional items alongside your trade-in. If you wish to clear your wardrobe of clothing that you no longer use, please include it in your package when you send back your trade-in. You can send Birl a maximum of an additional 5kg back in a single package (approximately 3 items). You will not receive credit for your additional items, but you can rest assured that these items will be ethically recycled. Birl commits to a zero-to-landfill policy

What types of items can I recycle?

Birl will accept all garments except for underwear, which includes boxers, briefs and socks.

What happens to my items once I send them back?
our aim is to resell your items to extend their lifespan through our partnership with Birl. If resale isn’t possible, Birl will recycle them responsibly.

What is a zero-landfill policy?

A zero-landfill policy means no items will end up in landfill. Instead, all unsellable items are either reused, repurposed, or properly recycled to minimise environmental impact.
