SIRPLUS Lambswool and Cashmere Crewneck Jumpers

Why The Crewneck Deserves A Spot In Your Wardrobe

Each new season presents the perfect opportunity to take a long, hard look at our wardrobes and identify the pieces we need for day-to-day wear. For us, it’s all about creating (and wearing) items that we’ll love year after year - timeless, wearable and seriously comfortable.

Right now, all eyes are on our new shades of lambswool crewneck jumpers. These are knitted from medium-weight lambswool, spun in our favourite factory in the north of England. They’re thick without being too bulky and the sleek silhouette makes them perfect for layering under a chore jacket or blazer, or over an everyday Oxford shirt or crisp white tee.

The crewneck jumper has an illustrious history, traditionally made from pure cotton due to its athletic and utilitarian origins. Think American football players, professional rowers and even the U.S. Navy in the early 1900s. It’s literally called the ‘crew’ neck, named after a team that works together in a collective effort.

As always, we’ve reinterpreted it for the modern man. While there are many excellent cotton versions of this jumper, we’ve made ours from luxurious materials that highlight the finer details. Like the classic crewnecks of the past, comfort and durability are at the forefront, ensuring it can be worn day after day, year after year.

This season, our lambswool crewnecks come in neutral shades like beige, green, and navy, as well as a fresh palette inspired by the vibrant paintings of British artist Albert Irvin. These jumpers are set to become your go-to essential—an infallible companion you simply can’t go wrong with.
