Assistant Buyer
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join our Buying & Merchandising team, based at our London Head Office on Portobello Road. The purpose of the role is to assist the Buyer/Designer and Merchandiser in the planning and development of the range, through to the buy and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Design and buy our growing accessories range
Assist in communicating with suppliers, sampling and the buy of the main range as required
Maintain and update our buy file, delivery schedules, critical path and order management
Manage our inventory of raw materials, working with our factories and flagging up low stock alerts
Manage the quality checking and delivery of London-based production orders
Work with the Operations Manager, warehouse team and Merchandiser to optimise sales from new stock deliveries
Manage and recruit our Buying Interns
The Ideal Candidate
BA (Hons) Fashion Design or Buying related degree awarded at least 2:1
2 + years experience
Hard working, organised and adaptable
Problem-solving, positive attitude and uses initiative
Fast learner, not afraid of a challenge
Pattern cutting and garment construction knowledge desirable
Able to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (CAD)
Confident using Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and Vlookups)
