Bethnal Green Hotspots

The new studio has come to life this summer. Picture it; new employees, new tunes and new products. We’ve even found ourselves becoming a little continental with the sun, sitting outside our big brown doors and soaking up the rays. It's been Costa del Tapp Street.

Bethnal Green Hotspots

It's been five months of settling in now and we feel ready to offer you some top secret Bethnal Green knowledge!

Best spot for lunch

E. Pellicci

Nestled in the chaos of Bethnal Green High Street is the Italian rustic café E Pellicci. Opening in 1900, the café is still run by the same family. It's one of the most characteristic and atmospheric places in town. The food is classic, simple, tried-and-tested genius, promising filling portions and friendly prices. Their cult following and feature in Tom Hardy's Legend (2015) film ensures the café is never quiet. Get there early!

Best Boozer:

Blind Beggar

The traditional, old school British pub, in timeless wooden decor with a large beer garden - a Sir Plus favourite. Despite the murder the Krays committed there in 1966, the Beggar is a friendly spot, made up of quirky locals and East End creatives. Conveniently, it’s just round the corner from us. Cheers!

Best Coffee:

Mouse Tail

The independent coffee spot on Whitechapel Road. These chaps know their beans and their selection of homemade grub never disappoints. We like to frequent small independents wherever possible and Mouse Tail are no exception.

Hidden Gem:

The local for friendly, healthy lunchtimes. This small, friendly bistro located opposite Weaver's Fields Park is relatively new to the area and specialises in produce from the South of France and Italy. We love their impressive selection of salads. Portions are huge and it's barely a five minute walk from our studio.
